What this site collects
BetSiteRank is a read-only publication. There are no visitor accounts, no sign-in, no newsletter form, no comment form and no complaint submission form. Nothing on this site asks you to enter personal information, and nothing you read here is tied to an identity we hold.
Two categories of data are nonetheless created when you visit:
- Server access logs. Our hosting provider records the standard request details every web server records — IP address, timestamp, requested URL, referring page, browser user-agent and response status. These are retained by the host for a limited period for security, abuse prevention and fault diagnosis, and are not used to build a profile of you.
- One preference stored in your browser. Your light or dark theme choice, described in full in the Cookie Policy. It records a display preference and nothing else.
If you email us, we hold that email and its contents in our mailbox so we can reply and keep a record of the correspondence.
What we do not do
- We do not run a general-audience analytics service. No page-view tracking, session recording or heatmap tool is active on this site.
- We do not run behavioural advertising, retargeting pixels, or social media tracking widgets.
- We do not sell, rent or trade personal information.
- We do not use IP-based geolocation to change what you see. The country selector in the header is a manual choice, and choosing a country does not store anything about you.
How information is used
- Serving pages and remembering your display preference.
- Keeping the site available and defending it against abuse, through rate limiting and standard server security controls.
- Replying to correspondence you send us.
- Meeting legal, safety and responsible-gambling obligations.
Sharing and international processing
We use hosting, email, security and content-delivery providers only where needed to operate the service. We do not sell personal information. Data may be processed outside your country when an infrastructure provider operates internationally, subject to appropriate contractual and security safeguards.
Following an outbound link to an operator takes you onto that operator’s site, where their own privacy policy applies instead of this one. How those links work commercially is set out in our Affiliate Disclosure.
Retention and security
Server logs are retained by our hosting provider for a limited period and then rotated out. Email correspondence is kept while it remains relevant. The theme preference lives only in your own browser and expires after about a year, or immediately if you clear your browser storage.
We use encrypted transport (HTTPS) across the whole site and access controls on the publishing system, but no online service can promise absolute security.
Your choices
Because we hold no account for you, there is nothing to sign in to and nothing to export. You can clear the theme preference at any time through your browser’s site-data settings. If you have emailed us and want that correspondence deleted, or if you want to know whether we hold anything relating to you, write to editorial@betsiterank.com and we will respond.
Depending on where you live, you may have statutory rights of access, correction, erasure, restriction, objection and portability. Those rights apply to whatever we actually hold, which for most visitors is nothing beyond a server log entry.
Updates
We may update this policy as the service or applicable requirements change. The effective date above identifies the current version. If we add a feature that collects more than this policy describes — an account system, a complaints portal, analytics or affiliate tracking — this policy will be updated and, where required, consent requested before that feature goes live.
